Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Version 2011 : Car Review with Pictures

Hyundai Sonata Hybrid version 2011
2011 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid (US) At the 2008 Los Angeles Auto Show, Hyundai unveiled the Hyundai Blue Drive powertrain for the then next generation Sonata, which uses lithium polymer battery technology. It was reported to be based on Hyundai BLUE-DRIVE concept. The 2011 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid sales began near the end of February 2011. The Sonata Hybrid drivetrain combines a 2.4-liter engine with six-speed automatic transmission, and a 30kW electric motor and lightweight lithium polymer batteries to produce a full gasoline-electric hybrid with 37 miles per US gallon (6.4 L/100 km; 44 mpg-imp) in the city and 40 miles per US gallon (5.9 L/100 km; 48 mpg-imp) on the highway. This powertrain will be shared by the 2011 Kia Optima Hybrid. The 2011 Sonata Hybrid was one of the five finalists for the 2011 Green Car of the Year awarded by the Green Car Journal in November 2010, competing with two plug-in electric vehicles, the Nissan Leaf and the Chevrolet Volt, the 2011 winner. source : wikipedia.org

2011 KIA Optima : Car Review with Pictures and Wallpapers

The 2011 Kia Optima is redesigned with freshened styling and a new gas/electric hybrid model. This midsize car shares elements of its basic design and powertrains with the 2011 Hyundai Sonata produced by Kia's corporate parent. Optima reprises its LX, EX, and SX trim levels, and adds a Hybrid model for 2011. LX and EX have a 200-horsepower 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine. That engine replaces a 175-horsepower 2.4-liter 4-cylinder and a 194-horsepower 2.7-liter V6. Standard on SX and available on EX is a 274-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. A 6-speed manual transmission is available only on LX. A 6-speed automatic is optional for that model, and is standard otherwise. The Hybrid uses a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine and a battery-powered electric motor for 206 horsepower total. It's connected to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Hybrid can run on one or both its sources to balance acceleration and fuel economy. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, front-side airbags, and curtain-side airbags. Available features include heated and cooled front seats, heated rear seats, a wireless cell-phone link, air-conditioned glovebox, panoramic sunroof, and a navigation system.

2011 Hyundai Sonata : Car Review with Pictures

The 2011 Hyundai Sonata is redesigned, with freshened styling, new engines, new features, and the brand's first gas/electric hybrid. This midsize sedan is about 3 inches longer in wheelbase and 1 inch longer overall than the 2006-2010 model. The 2011 Sonata comes in four trim levels: base GLS, sporty SE, luxury-themed Limited, and eco-oriented Hybrid. All but Hybrid are powered by a new 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine, which replaces 4-cylinder and V6 engines of 2.4 and 3.3 liters, respectively. GLS and Limited have 198 horsepower, and the SE has 200. Available on the SE and Limited is a 274-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine. Sonata models so equipped are called 2.0T. The Hybrid pairs a 2.4-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor for 206 horsepower total. It can run on one or both of its power sources to balance acceleration and fuel economy. No plug-in charging is required. Standard on the GLS is a 6-speed manual transmission. Optional on that model and standard on all other Sonatas, including the Hybrid, is a 6-speed automatic. SE versions have a sport suspension, 18-inch wheels, and specific trim. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, front-side airbags, and curtain-side airbags. A navigation system is optional on all models. Limiteds equipped with navigation include a rearview camera. Leather upholstery with heated front and rear seats are Limited-exclusive standard features.
